Best hydration according to a desert explorer

Interesting to hear from someone who has walked hundreds of miles in hot deserts.

Max Calderan is a self-titled “Son of the Desert”. He has walked over 700 miles of the Arabian Peninsula at over 115 degrees. He holds 14 worlds-first in desert exploration, among them walking 90 consecutive hours to cross Oman.

He knows a thing or two about keeping hydrated.

This is what he thinks the best drink is: " The best energy drink ever is water with some lemon juice and a small quantity of salt. Drink that during the day. Drink small quantities of water often, every 15 or 30 minutes."
